Wrap-around Maternity and Early Years Care Rooted in Whānau Values

Hauora and Hapūtanga Support for the First 2,000 Days
Tukutuku is a maternity and early years service designed for young hapū māmā and their tamariki. Our team includes midwives, nurses, and counsellors providing primary maternity care, Tamariki Ora checks, immunisations and maternal mental health support. We wrap health care in a korowai (cloak) of tautoko (support) that is culturally grounded and easy to access, reducing barriers and empowering whānau to thrive. We walk with young māmā and their pēpi through the critical first 2,000 days, promoting tino rangatiratanga (self-determination) in health and wellbeing.

Preventative Hauora Care

Culturally Safe & Responsive
Delivers coordinated, kaupapa Māori health care aligned with whānau needs.
Empowering Tino Rangatiratanga
Supports young parents to lead their health journey with confidence and knowledge.
Our Support Process
At E Tipu E Rea, we initiate support with a straightforward three-step process:
Initial Contact
The journey begins when you fill out our form or contact us. This first step is crucial in opening the doors to assistance and understanding.
Triage & Assessment
Each enquiry is carefully triaged to understand the unique needs of the whānau. This ensures that the support provided is tailored and effective.
Personalised Planning
A dedicated Kaiāwhina is assigned to whānau, who will arrange a first visit for whanaungatanga. Whanaungatanga is the cornerstone of our ongoing support and will help us plan for the support we give you.
Supporting Whānau with a focus on the crucial first 2,000 days of parenting.
We are dedicated to supporting young parents, their pēpi, hapū māmā, and the wider whānau to plan for their own growth and leadership development. Our tautoko includes, employment and housing, events, leadership wānanga and other opportunities, counselling, social support, hauora services for pēpi and parents (Immunisations and Well Child Tamariki Ora), midwifery, and connection to Mātauranga Māori; including mobile Māori play, rongoā and tūpuna parenting.

Start with Tukutuku: Accessible, judgement-free maternity and hauora care for young māmā and their tamariki.
