Rangatira Mō Āpōpō
Leaders of Tomorrow
Empowering Hapū Māmā and Mātua Taiohi to Lead Their Own Futures
Guiding Young Parents Into Education and Employment
Rangatira Mō Āpōpō uplifts hapū māmā and mātua taiohi who are not in education or employment, helping them reconnect with their goals and aspirations. Through culturally grounded wānanga (learning sessions) and personal mentoring, we foster confidence, skill-building, and intergenerational success. We support parents in balancing their education or career journey with parenting, and provide pathways for whānau to grow proud, capable, and independent.
Pathways to Success
Helps young parents identify and engage with further education, training or sustainable employment pathways that work for them and their pēpi.
Cultural Confidence
Strengthens pride in cultural identity and connection to Te Ao Māori, supporting long-term wellbeing and resilience.

Real-World Skills Development
Builds soft and practical skills through mentoring and wānanga that support both personal growth and career readiness.
Parenting with Purpose
Supports whānau to balance parenting and mahi (work) in a sustainable way, benefiting both parent and pēpi.
Our Support Process
At E Tipu E Rea, we initiate support with a straightforward three-step process:
Initial Contact
The journey begins when you fill out our form or contact us. This first step is crucial in opening the doors to assistance and understanding.
Triage & Assessment
Each enquiry is carefully triaged to understand the unique needs of the whānau. This ensures that the support provided is tailored and effective.
Personalised Planning
A dedicated Kaiāwhina is assigned to whānau, who will arrange a first visit for whanaungatanga. Whanaungatanga is the cornerstone of our ongoing support and will help us plan for the support we give you.
Supporting Whānau with a focus on the crucial first 2,000 days of parenting.
We are dedicated to supporting young parents, their pēpi, hapū māmā, and the wider whānau to plan for their own growth and leadership development. Our tautoko includes, employment and housing, events, leadership wānanga and other opportunities, counselling, social support, hauora services for pēpi and parents (Immunisations and Well Child Tamariki Ora), midwifery, and connection to Mātauranga Māori; including mobile Māori play, rongoā and tūpuna parenting.

Become a Leader of Tomorrow: Step into education or employment with support from Rangatira Mō Āpōpō.
